Anthony Melino, 90, a lifelong resident of Providence, passed away on March 24, 2017. He was the son of the late Pasquale and Pasqualina (Procaccini) Melino. Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Ida (Carreiro) Melino.
He is survived by his four children; Deborah Melino-Wender and her husband Brian, Anthony M. Melino, Carol Melino and Nancy Ziroli and her husband Michael, five grandchildren; Jason Melino, Jessica Wolff, Victoria Chica, Taylor Wender and Alexander Wender, and six great-grandchildren. Anthony also leaves behind one brother-in-law; Joseph Carreiro and his wife Eleanor and his sister-in-law Lydia Borges. Besides his parents and wife, Anthony was predeceased by his siblings; Constanto Melino, Rosalie Dwyer and Ann George and one sister-in-law; Ann Clark.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 10am from AA. MARIANI & SON FUNERAL HOME, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 239 Regent Ave. Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 8-10 AM.
