DeSiderato, Helen A. (Barta) 74, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017. She was the beloved wife of SFC, Ronald DeSiderato, Sr. (USA, Ret.) They were happily married for 51 years.
She was the daughter of the late Francis and Clara (Dalmonego) Barta and sister of the late Emma Kennedy.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving and devoted children, Ronald DeSiderato, Jr., and Lisa (DeSiderato) Zarrella and her husband Jeffrey. She is also survived by her cherished grandson, Nicholas Zarrella and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was born in Cranston and was a lifelong resident of Providence. She graduated from Hope High School and worked as a secretary for Industrial National Bank. She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker upon having children. Helen will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 10:30am from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main St., Providence. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Friday from 4-8pm. Contributions may be sent to: Special Olympics RI-Cranston Cyclones, 370 George Washington Highway, Smithfield RI 02917.
