Hi Janet and James...
The passing of your dad reminds me of the days when we were kids and our dads ran the household. Your dad was kind and gentle but also he was, no doubt, like my dad wherein he ran the family and we had to obey his rules. And, don't think I don't forget that time we spent in Florida when we were juniors on spring break when I spent time with you and him (I still have the photos of us). He was a really special person.
Please accept my condolences and, as one of my friends told me back when my dad passed away almost 10 years ago, it's the good memories that will keep us strong!! I will, as I always do with the passing of my friends' mom or dad, say a 7-day prayer decade for your dad as, now that I have retired, I attend mass every day.
God Bless you both and have a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year! .
