Monica Abreu, nació en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, el 4 de Mayo de, 1932. Hija del Señor Félix Ripol y de la Señora Cruz María Castillo. Falleció el 11 de Febrero del 2018, a la edad de 85 anos, en el Hope Hospice & Pallative Care de Rhode Island.

Fue la viuda de quien en vida se llamo Luis Abreu, con quien estuvo casada por 53 años siendo bendecido en su matrimonio con cinco hijos: Clara Ramírez, Iván Abreu, Brenda Abreu, Ruth Abreu y Luis Abreu Jr, 16 nietos y 19 biznietos y 1 tataranieto. Madre, abuela, bisabuela, tátara abuela y hermana ejemplar.

Desempeño diferentes funciones en la Iglesia Puerta De Refugio a la cual pertenecía ganándose el aprecio de todo aquel que la trataba, siempre dispuesta a servir donde la necesitaran.

Madre querida te extrañaremos, fuiste un gran ejemplo para todos nosotros, una persona muy especial, nunca te olvidaremos y vivirás para siempre en nuestros corazones, tu olor y tu dulce voz estarán siempre vivos en nosotros y sabemos que ahora tu estas disfrutando de la presencia del Señor, nuestro Dios, juntos a tu amando esposo y eso nos llena de alegría.

Descansa en paz querida madre algún día nos reuniremos.

Monica Abreu, born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on May 4, 1932. Daughter of Mr. Felix Ripol and of Mrs. Cruz Maria Castillo. She departed on February 11, 2018, at the age of 85 year old in Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of Rhode Island.

She was the widow of Luis Abreu, whom she was married for 53 years being blessed in her marriage with five children: Clara Ramirez, Ivan Abreu, Brenda Abreu, Ruth Abreu and Luis Abreu Jr., 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and an exemplary sister. 

She performed different functions at Door of Refugee in which she was a member of, winning over the love of each person she came in contact with, always willing to service whenever and wherever needed.

Dear mother we will miss you, you were a great example to all of us, a very special person. We will never forget you, you shall live in our hearts forever. Your sweet scent and voice will always be alive within us we know that you are now enjoying your presences with our Lord, God together with your loving husband.  And that fills us with happiness.

Rest in peace  dear mother for someday we will reunite again.
