Burns, Paul L. 81, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2017. He was the husband of Angela (Albanese) (Shaw) Burns. They had ben married for 27 years. Born in Rochester New York, he was the son of the late Royal and Verna Burns. After High School he served his country in The United States Navy, after being discharged he worked as a truck driver for Hoods Dairy until his retirement. He was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Cheryl Burns, Donna Simonelli, Karen Burns, his step children Jonathan, Bryan, Laurence, Valerie, and April Shaw. He was the adoring Poppy to 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Paul D. and Richard A. Burns, the brother of the late Jack Burns. A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 23, 2017 at 10 AM in the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in Swan Point Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday December 22, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM.  **Please Note** The Hawkins St. overpass is closed due to construction therefore the funeral home is only accessible via Branch Ave.
