Pate, Rose (Marano) 94, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on September 25, 2017.  She was the wife of the late Vincent “Jimmy” Pate.  Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late John and Theresa (Bruno) Marano.

She was the co-owner for many years with her husband of V. Pate and Sons Construction in North Providence.

She was the mother of Gabriele V. Pate and his wife Beverly, and Richard J. Pate and his Companion Marie Prete.  She was the grandmother of 3 and great grandmother of 5. She was the sister of Albert Marano, and, the late Anthony Marano, Angie Conforti, Alfred Magnone, and Onarina Tetreault.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday September 28, 2017 at 8:45 AM from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence.  Calling hours will be held Wednesday 4 to 8 PM.  Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
