Yua See Yang

I am heartbroken to announce the death of our beloved father, brother, uncle and grandfather, Yua See Yang. He passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on March 29, 2024 surrounded by his daughters.

Born on July 4, 1929 in Muang Nrog, Laos to Sao Xue Yang (Father) and Mai Hang (Mother). He was not only a hero in war but also in life. Generous, lovingand opens his home to family, relatives and friends without questions. He always ready to help others. He was also a recognized wedding negotiator who joined together many happy couples throughout his life. He touched the heart of all who knew him.

Rest and be at peace, our father. We love you. My father, a war Veteran during the Secret War in Laos fought alongside with the American C.I.A. After the War, he and his family fled to Thailand for refuge then came to America in 1979 for a better future.

After a prolonged illness, he never lost hope and fought to the end. He joins his soulmate, my mother Tong Kue who passed away in 2004.

He is survived by his younger brother Fai Sai Yang of France; 6 daughters: Mang Yang of Minnesota, Shoua Hang of Laos, Pang Thao of Oklahoma, Xee and Ying Vang of North Carolina and Shonmea Thao of Rhode Island; a stepson Pang Ze Yang of Laos; his 42 grandchildren and 72 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. His passion, kindness, and unconditional love will be forever missed.

Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son  Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, Saturday April 27th from 9:00 am- 9:00 pm, Sunday April 28th from 9:00 am-9:00 pm.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home Monday April 29th from  9:00-11:00 am with burial following in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
