Mary DiValerio

November 14, 1922 ~ February 1, 2024 (age 101) 101 Years Old


Mary DiValerio,101 died February 1, 2024. She was the beloved wife for 45 years of the late John L. DiValerio.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Stephano Caruso and Rose(Izzo) Caruso. She was the sister of  the late Domenico Caruso.

Mary worked as an in home demonstrator for many years before becoming a salesperson for Hopkins Novelty in Providence/Central Falls. She was a communicant of St. Pius church. Mary enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing with her husband and their good friends. She enjoyed gardening in her yard on Bradley Street through her early nineties. Mary dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed reminiscing about the DiValerio family whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her daughters Donna (Domenic) Marcone and Susan (Paul) Records; her grandchildren Geoffrey (Samantha) Marcone, Stephanie (Kyle) Sinclair, Matthew (Jaclyn) Records; and great grandchildren Jacob Marcone, Brooklyn Marcone, Janelle Sinclair, Haley Sinclair and Mason Records.

Her funeral will be from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, 9:15 am Thursday February 8th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Pius V Church, 240 Eaton Street, Providence.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.  Visiting hours are Wednesday, February 7th, 4:00 - 7 :00 pm.
