Testa, Alan A. 67, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Roberta (Imondi) Testa, sharing 43 years of love and marriage.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Armando Testa, and Elena (Valente) Testa- Lonardo. He was the step son of the late Serafino J. Lonardo.
He was a graduate of Hanley Vocational School at Central HS in Providence and was a machinist at Federal Products for 22 years prior to going to work for the City of Providence, Department of Public Works as a laborer, snowplow operator, and environmental officer. He also worked part-time for Dunbar Armored Car Service for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children Alan Joseph Testa, and Ariana M. Testa – Becker and her husband Joshua, and his grandsons Joshua Alan and Jacob Joshua Becker. He also leaves behind his loving cousins, the Landis and the Ursillos as well as his extended family, the Ciprianos, and his many friends
His funeral will be held on Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 8:45 A.M. from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St. Providence at 10 A.M. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. Because Alan was always “a friend of the friendless”, donations may be made to the McAuley House, 622 Elmwood Ave. Providence, RI 02907 in lieu of flowers
