Obituary

DiGiglio, Alexander “Alex” 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday,
January 26, 2021.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Cosmo and Laura
(Torvi) DiGiglio and devoted brother of the late Ralph DiGiglio.

In 1968, Alex and his brother Ralph opened Towne Auto Upholstery
Inc., located in Johnston and has been in business for 53 years. 
For the past twenty years, Alex has worked side by side with his beloved son in-law, Robert who will carry on his legacy.  
Alex also worked for the Town of Johnston as a sealer of weight and
measures for many years.

He was a longtime board member of the Italo American Club and was a Veteran
of the Rhode Island Air National Guards. Alex had a smile that could light up a room, a shining personality, a heart of gold and a zest for life. 
He loved his family and friends with all of his heart and they loved him back.

He is survived by the love of his life, Sara Marino and loving
daughters, Jill DiGiglio and Alexia DiGiglio-Mancini and her husband
Robert. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, David
Pono Jr., Robbie and Alex Mancini and Ralph's daughter, his dear niece, Cindy DiGiglio.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial
on Wednesday, February 3rd at 12:30pm at Presentation of the Blessed
Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be limited seating.
Entombment will be private at Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum,
St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In
lieu of flowers, donations in Alex’s memory may be made to: St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN
