Alexander J. Iovino Jr. "Alex"

Alexander J. Iovino Jr. “Alex” 86, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at home. He was the beloved husband of Karleen (Hulme) Iovino and loving father of late Michael Iovino and cherished grandfather of the late Terrace Iovino.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alexander and Vincienza (Taccone) Iovino.

Alex was employed as an Independent insurance agent for many years before his retirement. He loved jazz music and the City of Providence.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Cheryl Almeida, Lynn and Maria Iovino; cherished grandchildren, Joseph Tiberi Jr., James Almeida, Nicolette Tiberi, Melissa Iovino, six dear great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the devoted brother of the late Salvatore Iovino, Rosemarie Pullano, Robert and Vito Iovino.

Visiting hours will be held at St. Ann’s Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence from 10-11am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. Pawtucket.
