Ali S. Spina

Ali S, Spina, 38, of Johnston, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, April 3, 2021. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Ali was the beloved son of Joyce (Johnson) Echavarria and Ali Elshorbagi and his wife Maria. Besides his parents, Ali is survived by his brothers, John Johnson, Joey Spina III and his fiancée Brittany Mederos, and Karem Elshorbagi; his sisters Hanna, Samantha, Sandy, and Vanessa; his loving girlfriend Leah Fiocco; his nieces Gabriella, and Elliana; his nephew Ethan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends. Ali was a graduate from Johnston High School. He was a car salesman for many years, and also most recently began training and managing many different professional boxers, along with match making many professional bouts. Ali really enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and loved ones. He enjoyed working out, attending church, watching football and especially loved attending New England Patriots games. He was an avid boxing fan who had fought along side his brother Joey as an amateur while growing up. He fought in the Golden Gloves Tournament and he also had many amateur kick boxing fights as well. Ali was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, April 8th from 2-5pm at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence. His funeral and burial will be private.
