Angelina Candeias (Pereira), 90, passed away peacefully at Heritage Hills Nursing Home, Smithfield, on May 22, 2018 with her beloved friend, Rosa by her side and surrounded with love.
Born in Ponte DelGada, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio S. Fonseca.
Angelina retired from Hasbro Toy Manufacturing as an assembly worker and loved her job. She enjoyed eating out, playing cards, shopping, dancing, listening to Portuguese music and her time with friends honoring the holy spirit.
She lived in Cranston, where she was surrounded by those who loved her. She leaves one of her dearest and oldest friends, Luzia Santos whom was also her caretaker, she leaves behind several nieces and nephews who have wonderful memories of Tia Angelina.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Connie Corriera and Almerenda Machado. She was the beloved sister of the late, Maria, Manuel, Antonio, Alfredo and John Pereira.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 29th from 9-10am followed by a funeral home service at 10am. She will be laid to rest at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. There will be a Portuguese Mass to celebrate and honor Angelina’s life on Sunday, June 24th at 11:30am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 79 North Carpenter St., East Providence. All who knew her are welcome to attend.
