Obituary

           

 Ann B. Iantosco (Salvatore) passed away peacefully on June 28, 2021 while enveloped in the love of her family.  She was the devoted wife of Joseph L. Iantosco for 62 years. 

Ann was born in Providence, Rhode Island on May 25, 1936, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Chiara (Iacobbo) Salvatore. 

Her love of fashion began with her first job modeling at Gladdings Department Store in the capital city.  After marriage and children, Ann returned to the work force in the Providence School System until her retirement.  She was a resident of North Providence. 

Ann was endlessly devoted and caring to her family.  She was and remains much loved by her children, for whom she was a lasting example of kindness and generosity.  Her grandchildren and great grandchildren became the joys of her life.  She enjoyed many years babysitting for her seven precious grandchildren.  Ann and her husband, Joe also loved golfing together at the Alpine Country Club in Cranston Rhode Island and spending winters at their home in Boca Raton, Florida. 

She was the beloved mother of Joanne Carlino and son-in-law Steven, Jane M. Sciotti and son-in-law Glen, Joyce Federici and son-in-law John all of Lincoln.  She was also the ever so loving grandmother of Ashley Placido and her husband Stephen, Geoffrey Sciotti and his wife Danielle, Steven Carlino Jr and his fiancé Gabriella David, Amanda Lanoie and her husband Jake, Victoria Lineberger and her husband Jim, Bianca Murray and her husband Alex and Gabriella Federici and her two great grandchildren, Abigail Placido and Jackson Murray, all of whom she cherished.  Ann was also the sister of the late Tina Saccoccio, Mary Santurri, Theresa Cusano, Daniel and Anthony Salvatore. 

Calling hours will be held Friday, July 2nd from 9:30 am - 11:15 am at A. A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at St Augustine’s Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Edwards Food and Wellness Center, 1001 Branch Avenue, Providence RI 02904 or The Alzheimer’s Association of Rhode Island, 245 Waterman Street, # 306, Providence RI 02906.
