Anna Santaniello

Anna M. Santaniello, 96 of North Providence, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Anna was the loving wife of 68 years to the late Albert Santaniello.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Annie (Leone) Tomassi.

Anna is survived by her loving children, Anthony Santaniello of North Providence, Albert Santaniello and his wife Elena of Providence, Deborah Doyle and her husband William of Florida, and Donna Yazbak and her husband Edward of North Smithfield; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, with another on the way; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Penta, Adeline Allen, Christina Santaniello, Albert Tomassi, and Vincent Tomassi.

Anna was a loving, caring mother, friend and neighbor.  She was a talented seamstress who worked countless years at Pawtucket Dress and the Tech Co.  Her daughters were always the best dressed with her unique creations.  No one left Anna’s kitchen without a cup of coffee and the special of the day, usually a piece of delicious homemade pizza or freshly baked cookie.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.  She was God’s Angel on Earth

Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins, Providence, Friday, 9:00-10:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Providence.  Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
