Anthony (Red) Giordano, 88, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 15, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Carolyn (Mendence) Giordano.
Born in North Providence, he was the son of the late Vincent and Carmella (Cardente) Giordano. Sergeant Giordano proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954.
Anthony was Equipment Manager for MA Gammino Construction Company for 30 years before retiring.
He is survived by his loving children, Janine and Lisa Giordano, Marisa Schasel and her husband Paul, and Anthony V.F. Giordano; a brother Frank Giordano and sisters, Mary Clark and Hilda Giordano. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughters, Nicole and Ashley Bibby and a dear great-grandson, Ethan Hassett.
His funeral will be Saturday, March 20th at 10am from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Friday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to D.A.V.
