. Anthony Leone , 98, formerly of North Providence passed away from COVID on December 20th at St. Antoine Residence. He was the son of the late Pio and Filomena (Curcio) Leone, who immigrated to the United States from Italy. He was the husband of the late Rita (Martino) Leone. Together, they owned Rita’s Gifts in Pawtucket. Anthony was also a professional accordion player and music teacher. He later operated a printing company until his retirement. Anthony was a WWII veteran who used his musical talents to entertain the troops in France. In his spare time he was an avid golfer. He is survived by one son, Anthony Jr. (Kathleen), two grandchildren, Erin (Vamshi) Thakkallapalli and Michael (Meredith) Leone, and five great grandchildren, Mason, Alexis, William, Grace and Nora. A special thank you to the staff at St. Antoine for their care. Funeral and burial will be private.
