Obituary

Balasco, Armand A. Jr., 69 of North Providence, passed away peacefully with family by his side, at Yale New Haven Hospital on Thursday, January 6, 2022 after a brief illness.

Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of the late Armando and Concetta (D’Angelo) Balasco.

Armand was a proud eagle scout and graduate of LaSalle Academy.  He received his Bachelor’s from Worcester Polytech, and Master’s from Tufts University, in Chemical Engineering.  He had an extensive, successful career of over 40 years, that started at Arthur D. Little, his longest tenure, as Program Manager of various US Army and US Navy contracts, and eventually became Vice President.  His successes continued in his next ventures as Founder, President, and Independent Consultant at several companies where he managed projects and large contracts for the government.

Armand was a true gentleman, professional, and mentor. He took great pride in his family to which he was fiercely devoted.  His genuine demeanor, generosity, intelligence, and wise advice will be missed by all those he left behind, including the many friends and colleagues he had maintained relationships with and kept in touch with through the years.
He is survived by his loving sister, Sandra Balasco, niece Kerri Costigan and her husband Jason Benoit, great niece Alexa Benoit, brother-in-law Michael Costigan, and his late sister Shirley Costigan.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, January 13th from 8:30-10:30am at the A.A.
