Bernard A. Lough ("Bernie") 70, of Warwick, RI and Ft. Myers, FL (formerly of North Providence, RI), passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Joanna (Marzetta-Bonin) Lough and the late Diana (Marquis) Lough.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harold and Mary (Gillen) Lough. Bernard was a history teacher at Central High School and later a vice principal before his retirement. He was also an Army Veteran. Bernard enjoyed nothing more than a day on his boat on Narragansett Bay after a round of golf.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Karlton Lough and his wife Nora-Jean and Andrew Lough and his wife Sheri; stepdaughters, Jacqueline Boisvert and her husband Brian and JoAnn Erven and her husband Casey. He is also survived by a sister, Rosemary Lough and cherished grandchildren; Gabriel, André, Danielle, Charlotte, Avery, Karlton Jr., Julia, twins Isabel and Sophie-Anne, Cameron and John. He was the brother of the late Brian Lough.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 13th at 9:30am from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Rose and Clement Church, 111 Long St., Warwick. Burial will be private.
