PROVIDENCE- Constance R. DiTomasso, 86, of Providence and Ft. Myers, FL, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020, surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of her family at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence. She was the devoted wife of the late William S. DiTomasso.
Born on March 19, 1934, in Central Falls, she was the loving daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Lebeouf) Baril.
Constance was employed for many years as a Teacher Aide with the Providence School Department. She truly loved her job and she liked working with children.
In her spare time, Constance enjoyed playing bingo and playing the slot machines at Twin River and Foxwoods Casino. She liked to travel and she frequented cruises around the Caribbean. Above all, she was most happy when she was in the presence of and making memories with her family.
Constance is survived by her cherished children: Madonna DiTomasso of Phoenix, AZ; William DiTomasso and his wife Donna of West Warwick; Raymond DiTomasso of Providence; and Gerard DiTomasso and his wife Michele of Foster. She was the doting grandmother to Gerry; Nichole; Ryan; Lyndsey; and Hannah. She will be sorely missed by her siblings: Lucille Trojan of Cumberland and Raymond Baril and his wife Kathy of Warwick. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
With firm observance to appropriate Covid-19 health safety measures, including social distancing and the use of face coverings (required), Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at A.A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence, RI. Services and burial at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be held privately.
