Nolan, Corrine Z. 90, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2018 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Dr. Edward P. Nolan. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Ernesto and Angelina (Lepore) Zinno.
Corrine earned her Bachelor's Degree at St. Joseph's College and her Master’s in Social Work at Boston University, prior to a long career in social work. With her husband, the late Dr. Edward Nolan, she cofounded one of Rhode Island‘s first community mental health clinics, in Woonsocket. Corrine served on the boards of several non-profit organizations and as a volunteer with the League of Women Voters.
She survived by her loving family Edward P. Nolan Jr. and Karen Nolan and her husband Jonathan Weider, her adoring grandchildren Megan Kelley, Eden Kelley, and Aidan Weider. She was the sister of Brenda Noviello.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 8:45 AM from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Pius V Church, Eaton St. Providence. Calling hours will be held Monday 5 to 8. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
