Daniel P. Riley, 29, passed away on September 10, 2017. He was the son of Mary (Forte) Riley and James Riley and his companion Diane. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Steadman) Riley.

Besides his parents and wife, Daniel is survived by his children; Daniel Jr., Evin and Damian, his brother James Riley and his in-laws; Myra and James Steadman, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Daniel was very proud of his time in the service; he served as a Corporal in the United States Army and deployed to Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve. He earned numerous medals during his time in the military. He was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed; fishing, hiking, mushrooming and rock climbing. He also enjoyed cars and music, specifically drumming. Daniel was a friend to all that knew him and he will be very sorely missed.

Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, September 14, from 4-8 PM at A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, RI 02904. Additional visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 15, from 10 AM-12 PM at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main Street, Westerly, RI 02891. A military burial will take place in River Bend Cemetery, Westerly immediately following the service.
