Dennis J. Calabrese

Dennis J. “Cal” Calabrese, 62, of Providence, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 1, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Jill (Dardeen) Calabrese.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Carlo and Angelina (Foline) Calabrese.

Mr. Calabrese was employed by Electric Boat as a Ship Fitter.  He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, affectionately known as “Scarlet”.  He served honorably in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR).

Besides his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Ryan; a sister, Donna Danese; a niece, Danielle Danese, a nephew, Derek Danese; and his great niece and nephew, Milo and Cora Sheridan.

Burial with military honors will take place at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904
