Obituary

                                      

Domenic C. Bonaminio Sr., 77 of North Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of the late Marie (DiTommaso) Bonaminio.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Domenic A. Bonaminio and Esther (Ando) Bonaminio.

Domenic worked for the State of Rhode Island as a Mason for many years before retiring. Domenic loved spending time with his family and friends, but he had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. His most cherished moments were making “Papa Soup” and playing chess and checkers with them. He was a man of many talents, an avid craftsman, photographer, musician, and problem solver.  Domenic loved to share his talents of woodworking with his friends and family making everything from rocking horses to furniture showcasing his tool collection.  He also enjoyed playing the guitar and organ through the years.  From the time he was a young man, he loved the creativity of photography and videography, capturing life’s precious memories through the years for friends and family. He was also a lifetime member of the Manville Sportsman’s Rod and Gun Club.

He is survived by his loving children, Delores Paesano, Domenic C. Bonaminio, Jr. and his wife Sherri, and Mario Bonaminio and his fiancé Erin Shea. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Sara and Richard Paesano, Jr. and Christina and Domenic Bonaminio III., and devoted siblings, Carmella Acciaioli and Carmen Bonaminio. He was the brother of the late Joseph Bonaminio.

Visiting hours will be Friday, May 12th from 8-10am in the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence.  Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
