Domenic Ferri

Ferri, Domenic,  Born June 7, 1919 in Providence, RI died Thursday surrounded by his family at Hope Hospice and Palliative Center in Providence.  He was 100 years old.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Lorenzo and Rubina (Pirolli) Ferri.

He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Elena (Lombardi) Ferri of Providence who passed away this past May 2019. He is survived by his loving son, Steven R. Ferri and his wife Jane M. (McNamara) Ferri, formerly of N. Providence, RI & presently residing in 

W. Harwich, MA and their two children, Alex and Gabriella.

He served his country well and honorably in both the Korean War and WWII in the U.S. Army.  A successful gardener and avid golfer, he loved his time out on the course and could frequently be found at the local driving ranges practicing up until the remarkable age of 92. 

A dedicated family man, he relished his time with his family both at home and away on family vacations, most often on the open seas, cruising the Caribbean.  

His funeral will be held on Saturday November 2, 2019, calling hours will be 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St. Providence. Burial with military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
