Doris C. Stadnitski

On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, our beautiful Doris was called to God's Ballroom.

At 84 years old, she was a graceful dancer, the best mother, Mémère, and friend. Though a 40-year resident of Providence, she was Woonsocket in her heart.

 Doris Stadnitski (née Collard) was born May 5, 1935, to Beatrice Petrin and Sylvio Collard. Always the entertainer, she likely waited on you at the lunch counter at Big Joe's (Fernandes Supermarket), or you heard her sing at Chappie's Supper Club, the Isle Capri and other Blackstone Valley haunts.

 After retiring as a CNA from Butler Hospital in 1997, Doris enjoyed line dancing at the Woonsocket Senior Center and the Mancini Center in North Providence. By night, she toured the dance halls at Cricket's, Roseland Ballroom, and Twin River Casino. A lifetime bingo player, she was often seen at Precious Blood on Friday nights--and occasionally at Foxwoods.

In her absence, Doris leaves her daughter Debra Markgraf and husband Gary Belson, granddaughter Diandra and husband Zachary Riddle, her sister Shirley Dyndur (Vincent) and nieces Donna Davis and Deanna Dyndur.

Doris was a generous person, and in lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made in her honor to Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center at HopeHealthCo.org.
