Edward Pitochelli, Sr

Edward J. Pitochelli, Sr., 92, of Smithfield, Rhode Island passed away on August 20th, 2023 at the Hope Health Hospice Center.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ernest and Clara (Porcaro) Pitochelli and the beloved companion of the late Janice M. Warren of North Attleboro for 37 years.

Edward served in the armed forces in his younger years and worked at Stone-E-Lea Golf Club for over 30 years, retiring in 2010.

Edward is survived by his daughter Donna M. Bucco, and sons Edward J. Pitochelli Jr., and Paul R. Pitochelli; twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren; father of the late Jean M. Obuirka; brother of the late Ernest and Frank Pitochelli and Anna Romano.

Edward loved baseball, he was an avid follower of the Boston Red Sox and played the game for many years.  He was an avid golfer and liked to teach others how to play.

Visitation will be held Thursday August 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A.A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, Rhode Island. Funeral Service will be held Friday August 25, 2023 at 10 am.  Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
