Obituary

Elaine A. (Ciotti) Romano 85, of Providence, passed away

peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday,

September 10, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late

Renaldo (Rhett) A. Romano. She was the daughter of the late

Paul and Carmina (Masso) Ciotti.

She is survived by her loving children, Rhonda A. Romano, Rhett

A. Romano, Robin A. DiMeglio, and Randy A. Romano (Tami).

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Brittany

Smith (David), Michael DiMeglio Jr. (Christina), Nicolo DiMeglio,

Brett Johnson (Shizu), Giancarlo DiMeglio, Gabrielle Romano,

Juliana DiMeglio and Cameron Romano; dear great-grandsons,

Michael DiMeglio III., and Enzo Johnson and many nieces and

nephews.

She was the sister of the late Mary Carrara, Joseph Ciotti, Jane

Brown, Claire Tartaglia, Louise Scott, Thomas Ciotti, Paul Ciotti

and Anthony Ciotti.

Elaine was a stay at home mom and entered the workforce

when her children were done with their schooling. She was an

Administrative Assistant With Brooks Maxi retiring after 25

years.

She loved to go dancing, completing daily crossword puzzles,

enjoyed her walks and zumba, was well read and an exemplary

cook preparing many family dinners.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, September 15th from

8-9:30am at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins

Street, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at

10am at St. Pius V. Church, 240 Eaton Street, Providence. Burial

will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers,

donations may be made to the American Cancer Society

Due to COVID concerns, if you plan to attend, please be prepared to wear a mask and maintain social distances.
