ELISA J. “ALICE” BRIGIDI, (Capocci), 93, of Warwick, died Monday, July 10, at home with her daughter by her side. Born November 20, 1923 in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Luisa (Acciaolli) Capocci and Leonardo Capocci. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Gidio “Judd” Brigidi, and three sisters, Anna Bruno, Helen Enright, and Teresa Tomaszek. She is survived by her sister Mary Iacono.

A graduate of Hope High School, she began her career at National Office Supply and later served as clerk in the Department of Probation & Parole, retiring in 1984.

She had warm smile for everyone, had many friends, and her family was the center of her life. She always made sure everyone was well fed. Her delicious pizza was enjoyed by friends and acquaintances around the globe. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards, especially 500 rummy.

She is survived by her two sons and daughter, Stephan Brigidi and his wife Julie, Judy Gaboury and her husband George, with whom she lived, and Raymond Brigidi. She leaves six grandchildren, Brianna Brigidi, Anthony DiPietro, Joseph DiPietro and his wife Jennifer, Marla Mooney and her husband Glen, Stefano Brigidi, and Michael DiPietro. She also has five great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Maddox, and Ryder Judd Mooney and Delano and Donovan DiPietro.
 

Her funeral will be held on Saturday July 15, 2017 at 8:45 AM from the A.A. Mariani Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham St. Providence.  Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 4-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s memory may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North main St. Providence, RI 02904 or St. Jude Society c/o St. Agnes Church.
