Eulogio Acevedo

Eulogio Acevedo, 70 of Providence, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 19, 2020. He was the beloved and cherished husband of Maryelyn Alba-Acevedo. They were happily married for 30 years.

Born in Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Timoteo and Ynocencia (Arias) Acevedo.

Eulogio was a professional Engineer, and the owner of Acevedo Construction for over 25 years before his retirement. His passion was politics and Religion, he was  a devoted Christian, both things that he was very involved in for many many years. He was a gentle but strong man whom would always be willing to listen and help anyone whom needed it.  He was also a devoted community activist and was involved in many political campaigns.  He never said no when somebody needed help.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Stephanie and Angelina Acevedo of Providence,  Geomar and Emmanuel of Fl and Alina of PA. His siblings, Altagracia, of the DR, Ana Digna, Jose Antonio, Mercedes, Minerva,  Jose Ramon, Juan of Providence, Rafael of PA and Paulino Acevedo of Indiana. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, January 26th from 3-6pm at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence followed by a funeral home service at 6pm. Burial will be private.
