Gina M. Ponte

Our precious wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Gina M. Ponte, 56, of Cranston passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. 

Born in Providence she was the daughter of Jean (Barletta) Ponte and the late beloved John P. Ponte.

Gina was the cherished mother and best friend to her three children Jonathan Ponte, Natalia Pontes, and Joseph Pontes all with whom she adored and shared a special bond.  

Besides her mother and children she is survived by her devoted and loving companion, Kevin Nardelli; three brothers Louis Ponte, John C. Ponte, and Michael Ponte; as well as eight nieces and nephews.  

Gina will be remembered by her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, caring eyes, and loving heart.   Gina’s constant light and love will live on through all of her loved ones who will miss her deeply.  

Her funeral will be Friday, December 2nd at 9:30 am from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third Street, East Greenwich. Entombment will follow in Saints Peter & Paul Mausoleum, St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Thursday, December 1st, 4:00 - 8:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
