Gino Di PaoloDecember 7, 1930 ~ December 10, 2017 (age 87)
Di Paolo, Gino 87, went home to God on December 10, 2017. He was the loving husband of Maria (Iannetta) Di Paolo. They were married for 63 years. Born in Scapoli, Isernia, Italy, was the son of the late Antonio and Amalia (Caccia) Di Paolo. Gino is survived by his brother Cosmo of France and preceded in death by Giuseppe from Argentina.
Gino is a veteran of the Italian Army, Ordinance Division. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1956, and is a former co-owner of American Tile located in North Providence. Gino was also a carpenter for the Providence School Department before his retirement in 1991. He is a life-long member of the St. Anthony Society, Providence, former member of Abbruzze E Molise, and Co-Founder of Circolo Fratelli D’ITALIA. Gino was a true loyal friend and loved by everyone who knew him. He was kind, generous and was very proud of his annual garden and homemade wine. Above all of Gino’s accomplishments, his family was always the center of his life.
Gino will be deeply missed by his wife Maria and his two sons, Anthony and his wife Brenda, Michael and his wife Geri-Ann, his four adoring grandchildren Vanessa DePaola and her husband Nicholas, Deanna, Alyssa, and Michael Steven Di Paolo and his great-grandchild Gino Dominick DePaola.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday December 12, 2017 at St. Ann Church 280 Hawkins St. Providence at 11 AM. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to the A.A. MARIANI & Son Funeral Home.
