Obituary

Henry A. “Hank” Tacelli, 100, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, November 24th..  He was the beloved husband of the late Marion (DeSimone) Tacelli

Born in East Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Domenica (Falco) Tacelli.

Mr. Tacelli just recently celebrated his 100th birthday on November 14th. He will be remembered as being an all-around great guy who got along with everyone.  He enjoyed telling jokes and would do anything for anyone.  He enjoyed fishing with his children, bocce, going out to eat, golf, playing pool, woodworking with birdhouses, and playing on the Knights of Columbus bowling team, playing cards, gardening, and travelling.

Mr. Tacelli was a hard-working man who did the best to provide for his family.  He drove a truck for the Providence Journal at night from 1972-1991.

He is survived by a daughter, Arline A. Tardie and her husband Al of North Providence; a son Glenn D. Tacelli of Lincoln; a granddaughter Melissa A. Peso-Watkins and her husband James of Medford, NJ; and two great-granddaughters Macie Watkins and Norah Watkins; as well as many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his six sisters, Anna Vittorio, Amelia Pettinato, Netta Mackay, Eleanor Chiaverini, Vera Tacelli, and Jennie Bilotta.

Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Wednesday, 9:00 am -10:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Masks are required for anyone attending services at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
