Hilda Capaldi

Hilda Capaldi, 91, of Cranston, passed away Sunday, November 7th surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Capaldi.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Vacca.

Mrs. Capaldi was employed as a Teacher’s Aide for the City of Providence School System for 25 years before retiring.

She loved her dogs, reading the bible, and the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful person and is loved more than words can say.

She is survived by three children, Anthony Capaldi, Raymond Capaldi and his wife Donna, and Shelly Capaldi; and two grandchildren, Mark Capaldi and Linda Capaldi.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Philomena, Anna, Viola, Rocco, and Ernest.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL), 34 Elbow St. Providence, RI 02903, or Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
