Italia Gianfrancesco

Gianfrancesco, Italia (Petrarca) 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Domenic Gianfrancesco.

Born in Fornelli, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Antonietta (Pannone) Petrarca. She worked at the Geneva Diner, North Providence for many years before her retirement.

She is survived by her loving children, Anthony Gianfrancesco, Esq. and his wife Linda, Mario Gianfrancesco and his wife Dawn, Annamarie Turco and her husband Clemente and Gina Gomes and her husband Steven; brothers, Leopoldo and Vittorio Petrarca and a sister, Bianca DiGiallonardo and her late sister, Ernestina Longano, late brothers, Dante Petrarca and Giovanni (Nino) Petrarca.   She is also survived by 11 cherished grandchildren and 3 dear great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be Friday (MORNING), August 10th from 9-11am at the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
