James V. Landi, 73 of Providence passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, Providence.
Born in San Luis Obispo, California, he was son of the late Florio and Helen (Cimini) Landi.
When Jim first joined the Air Force he was stationed at Vandenberg AFB in California and he served there for approximately 4 years. Upon leaving the active duty Air Force he joined the Rhode Island Air National Guard and served the rest of his time there. He served in the following Rhode Island Air National Guard Units: 102nd Tactical Control Squadron, North Smithfield - 282nd Combat Communications Squadron, Coventry - and 143rd Airlift Wing, North Kingstown
He is survived by his loving children, James D. Landi and his wife Lisa, Christopher M. Landi and his wife Lisanne and Nathan Landi and his wife Elaine and cherished grandchildren, Julianna, Zachary, Taylor, Kristen and Nicole Landi. He is also leaves his sweetheart, Cher Zahlany.
Relatives and friends can gather on Thursday, January 31st at 11:30am at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery Office, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow promptly at 12pm. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
