Janet Ann Tassoni

Tassoni, Janet A., (Rondeau) 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Tassoni.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Georgianna (Varin) Rondeau.
Mrs. Tassoni was employed at Amica Insurance for many years before her retirement.
She is survived by her loving children, Senator John J. Tassoni, Jr. and his wife Councilwoman S. Jean Cerroni, Michael Tassoni and his wife Paula, David Tassoni and his wife Brenda and Judi-Ann Slader and her husband Michael. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert and Raymond Rondeau and 11 cherished grandchildren and 4 dear great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 13th at 9:30am from the A.A. Mariani & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Michael Church, 30 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, would be appreciated.
