Joseph M. Acquaviva, Jr., 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Edna (Laurie) Acquaviva and loving father of the late Arthur Acquaviva.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Davis) Acquaviva.
Joseph was employed as an Electrician and an A/C Technician for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bouffard Council, North Providence and a Eucharistic Minister at Presentation Church. He was also a Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving children, Susan Zagroski and her husband Walter, Joseph M. Acquaviva, III and his spouse Timothy and Theresa Romano and her husband Joseph. He is also survived by 4 cherished grandchildren and 8 dear great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Esther Luminelli, Rose Jankowski and Maurice Acquaviva.
Visiting hours will be Saturday, March 3rd from 9-10am at the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.

**Please Note** The Hawkins Street overpass is closed due to construction therefore the funeral home is only accessible via Branch Avenue.
