Joseph F Contarino Sr

Contarino, Joseph F. Sr. 75, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2018.  He was the husband of the late Sylvia (Bartel) Contarino. Born in Lawrence Ma. he was the son of the late Angelo and Virginia (Stramondo) Contarino.

Joe proudly served his country in the United States Airforce.  He was the Business Manager for the Bricklayer and Allied Craftsmen Local # 1, he also worked as a Foreman at URI for the State of RI.  Some of his favorite past times were taking his RV camping in Vermont and boating with family and friends, and most especially hanging with his beloved dog Sheba.

He is survived by his loving children Joseph F. Contarino Jr. and his wife Kristen, and Nichole Caouette.  He was the adoring grandfather to Jeffrey and Julie McDonald, Skyla, Ryan, and Sophia Contarino, and Isabella Caouette.  He was the brother of John Contarino and Joanne Marciaro.  He was the father of the late Dina (Contarino) Clark and father – in – law of the late Gregg Caouette.  He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

His funeral will be held on Monday May 7, 2018 at 8:45 AM from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St. Providence.  Calling hours will be held Sunday 4 – 7 PM.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Johnston.
