Joseph Garganese

Joseph Garganese, 87 of North Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 26, 2020.  He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian (DiCicco) Garganese and companion of Susan Laferte.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Angelo and Linda (Lacatena) Garganese.

Joseph was the owner of his family business Garganese & Son Plastering, Providence for many years before his retirement currently owned and operated by his son Joseph. He was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.

He is survived by his loving children, Cheryl-Ann Trottier and her husband Gary and Joseph A. Garganese and his wife Lisa. He is also survived by his siblings, Theresa Bucci, Mary Cesaro, Elena Leonardo and Angelo Garganese and cherished grandchildren, Natasha Trottier, Gianna McLeish, Gary Trottier Jr., Karissa Garganese and Emily Garganese. He was the brother of the late Charles and Robert Garganese.

His funeral will be Friday, January 31st at 10am from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Ann’s Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7pm.
