Joseph Gesualdi Jr.

Gesualdi, Joseph Jr., 80 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 27, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie (Rossi) Gesualdi. They were happily married for 56 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Saveria (Montecalvo) Gesualdi. Joseph served in the National Guards for 9 years and was the owner of Lanni’s Barber Salon, cutting hair for many years before his son took over. He was a member of the former Rolling Rhodies Antique Car Club, Ocean State Chorus, an active member of the Pannese Society, YPSC Social Club and the UCT. He was also an avid antique car enthusiast.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a loving son, Joseph Gesualdi III. and his wife Kimberly, a loving daughter, Lori Gesualdi, and a sister, Carol Gesualdi. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Angela Gesualdi and Edward Gaskin, his fiancé Tasha Paolino and a dear great-grandson, Attilio Joseph Gaskin. He was brother to the late Angelina Lane, John Gesualdi and Wilfred DeJesus.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, September 1st at 7:45am at the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am at Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence.
