Obituary

Joseph A. Pisaturo, Jr. “Tony” 63, of Providence passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Linda D’Agostino. They were happily married for 44 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Clare (Annaldo) Pisaturo. Tony was employed at General Dynamics - Electric Boat division for 32 years before his retirement. Besides his wife, he is survived by a loving son, Joseph A. Pisaturo, III. He is also survived by a brother, Peter Pisaturo and sisters, Gina Fedele and Mia Petrella. He was the brother of the late Ellie DeSalvo. He was an avid fan of motorcycles, cars, woodworking, old Western movies, and music. Despite his numerous medical challenges, he always maintained a positive attitude and a selfless character. His funeral will be held Thursday, August 29th at 8:45am at the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Pius V. Church, Eaton St., Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis TN 38101 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607, would be appreciated.
