Joseph Tramontano Sr., 95, formerly of Providence, passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his loving family at home in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Marie (Battista) Tramontano and loving father of the late Joseph Tramontano Jr.
Born in North Providence, he was the devoted son of the late Vincenzo and Madeline (D’Amato) Tramontano.
He was a Plumber for many years before retiring at the age of 90. Joseph loved his family, nature, wildlife and gardening. He was also a Merchant Marine Veteran serving during WWII.
He is survived by his daughters, Carol Jacques and Diane Loebsack; a sister, Virginia Pasquale and a brother, Gerald Tramontano Sr. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Dawn Marie Tramontano, Cara Tramontano-Banspach and her husband Howie and David Loebsack and his wife Chrissy and dear great-grandchildren, Ethan LaRobardier, Nicholas and Emma Banspach and Gabriel and Silas Loebsack.
He was the brother of the late Eleanor Barone, Catherine DiSalvo, Pauline Cataldo, Frances Guglietti, Antonio, James and Alfred Tramontano.
Visiting hours Monday, April 12th from 9:30-10:30am at the A.A. MARIANI & SON FUNERAL HOME, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St., Providence.
