Obituary

Lyonel Pierre-Antoine Jr., 39, of Providence, ended his journey here on earth on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, “Bino" as he was known by family and friends, was the beloved son of Lyonel Pierre-Antoine and Patricia Brown-Smith.

Lyonel was a chef for various restaurants and especially enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. Lyonel was a flame and drew a variety of personalities to himself; he had a wisdom and insight into life that was way beyond his young years which he willingly shared with others. He touched the lives of all those with whom he came in contact. Bino was our philosopher.

Besides his parents, Lyonel is survived by his loving son, Higen Copeland-Antoine and Higens' mother Caresse Copeland. Survivors also include his devoted brothers, Ashanti Robinson and Phillip Pierre-Antoine. Lyonel is also survived by his beloved grandmother, Hilda Brown and stepmother Marie Pierre-Antoine.His aunts include Ebony Brown- Belmar, Natasha Pierre-Antoine Duconte and MarlenePierre-Antoine. His many uncles include Eddie Pierre-Antoine, Evans Pierre-Antoine, Luis Brown, Mario Brown, Carlos Brown, Duane Brown and Anthony Carrion. He was predeceased by his uncles Oscar and Rolando Brown. His heart uncles Cecil, George & Edwinare also priceless members of his beloved circle. Additionally, Lyonel leaves behind several cousins; each of whom played such a close and personal role in his life that this space could never capture. Like him, his friendship circle is very unique and quite wide. “Friends” know this he loved you, prayed for you and spoke very fondly of you. To all of you, including many that cared for him since cancer struck him, know that he came into your life for a purpose; we hope that you will value the time you spent with him and “do unto others..” Bino leaves behind an extended family/friend network to mourn his much too early departure from this life.

Visiting hours will be Monday, July 26th from 9-11am followed by a funeral service at 11am at A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence.
