Manee M. Castillo

PROVIDENCE- Manee M. Castillo, 20, of Providence, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

Born on July 3, 2000, in Providence, RI, he was the beloved and dedicated son to Yaritza Covertier and Miguel Castillo.

Manee grew up in Providence, and he was a graduate with the Class of 2018 from St. Raphael Academy. While in high school, Manee enjoyed playing sports as a member of the basketball and track teams.

A kind young man, Manee was known by all for his compassionate and caring heart; always putting other before himself. He was loved by everyone he encountered and he will be remembered for his positive and outgoing attitude in life.

In his spare time, Manee had a passion for music, more specifically, rap and hip-hop. He loved to dance and play sports. With a passion for animals, Manee took great pride in adopting and taking care of his dog, Kane. He and Kane would do everything together and he prized every moment he spent with him. Above all, Manee truly treasured being a big brother to his two siblings. He was most happy when he was in the company of and making memories with his cherished family.

In addition to his proud parents, Manee is survived by his two doting and devoted siblings, Yaribel and Josiah Castillo; his grandmothers, Laura Maldonado and Dulce Castillo; his girlfriend, Ilyssa Lindo; numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and also his loyal dog, Kane.

Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, services for Manee will be held privately.
