Margaret E. Correy "Peggy"

Margaret E. Correy “Peggy” (Almeida) 81 passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Frederick Correy Sr, They were happily married for 61 years. Peggy worked as a CNA at Eleanor Slater Hospital for many years before her retirement. She was an Auxiliary Member, past president and past department Historian of American Legion Post 69 and volunteered in Operation Stand Down. Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Denise Correy-A'Vant and her husband Anthony, Teresa Isom, Frederick Correy, Jr., and his wife Belkys and Jerome Correy and his wife Christine. She was the loving mother of the late Carol Ann Barros. She is also survived by her cherished 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 deceased grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, October 30th from 8-9am at the A.A MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
