Maria P. Gwizdak

Maria P. Gwizdak, 85, of Providence, passed away Saturday April 20th.  She was the beloved wife of Eugne Gwizdak of 43 years.

Born in Mondragone, Italy, she was one of thirteen children to the late Federico and Yolanda Pellegrino.

Mrs. Gwizdak came to Rhode Island in 1967 with her family.  She married her husband Eugene in June 0f 1980.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Ferdinando and Loredana Pellegrino, Tommasina and Mark Buben, Aniello and Bibi Pellegrino, and Eugene Gwizdak, Jr.; three granddaughters, Julia Buben, Mia Buben, and Isabella Pellegrino; five surviving brothers and sisters, Antonio and Nancy Pellegrino, Dora Pellegrino, Lidia Pellegrino, Tina and Arturo Sorrentino, and Carmelo and Bianca Pellegrino. He was the brother of the late Giuseppe and Irma Pellegrino, Rachele Pellegrino, Filomena and husband Franco Grillone, Mario Pellegrino, and Vicenzo Pellegrino 

Her funeral will be from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, Thursday, April 25th at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visiting hours are Wednesday, 5:00-8:00 pm.
