Maria Del Carmen Hernandez

Maria Del Carmen Hernandez, 68, of Providence passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at home. She will forever be remembered for her strength, delicious cooking, and compassionate nature that made everyone feel like a member of her family.

Born in the Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Hernandez Dominguez and Hilda Milagros Hernandez Jimenez.

She is survived by her loving children, Jose Luis Hernandez, Fior Gil Hernandez, Glenis Delgado, Elvia Sanchez and Julie Hernandez; brothers, Jose Osvaldo, Edwardo, Andre, Felix, Rafael, Ramon and Cesar, and sisters, Dominga, Ana Victoria, Ramonita, Matilda, Silvetra, Bernarda, Lidia Consuelo and Altagracia. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Magdalena, Diego, Nicolas, Carlos, Luis Jose, Judelith, Joel, Maria Jose, Soldeluna, Jasmine, Daniel, Anthony, Tatiana, Jaiden, Rosalie and Sebastian and a dear great-granddaughter. She was the sister of the late Ceferina and Virginia.

Visiting hours will be Monday, June 7th from 8:30-10:15am at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Michael’s Church, 239 Oxford Street, Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
