Maria E. Perez

Maria Estela Perez, 76, of North Providence, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday January 2, 2022.

Born in Guatemala, she was a daughter of the late Alberto Perez and Hermina (Batres) Perez.

Miss Perez was an Outreach Counselor at the St. Martin De Porres Senior Center, where she was able to use her bilingual skills and help people retain the services they needed.  She was very active in her church, Iglesia De Jesucristo Palabra Miel and most recently Iglesia De Cristo Casa De Jubilo.

She will remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, and sister and how she always went out of her way to help others.

She is survived by two children, William Dighero and Karina Dighero Gibbs; three brothers, Enrique Perez, Rodolfo Perez, and Jose Luis Perez; and three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Tavian, and Karlie.  She was the sister of the late Esperanza Perez.

Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, on Friday 11 am - 12 pm, followed by a funeral service at 12 pm.  Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery. Face masks are required.
