Maria L. Quattrocchi Taglianetti Ross, 83, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving and devoted family.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ali and Lillian (Parillo) Quattrocchi and beloved mother of the late Richard T. Taglianetti and Louis Ross.
Maria was employed at Douglas Oil for over 30 years, working side by side with her loving cousins. After retiring from Douglas Oil, Rea, as she was affectionately known to her family, took on another full time job, matriarch of her family. She served this role tirelessly, selflessly and with great pleasure. Rea truly enjoyed her family, she loved having them over for Sunday dinners, all of them sitting around her kitchen table eating and laughing the day away. Yes, Rea loved her boys, but it was always special to see her face light up when she was spending time with one of her 14 grandchildren or great-grandchildren. She loved getting hugs from them and spoiling them with special treats that she would have hidden around her home. Rea also had an affinity for shopping, she loved taking her granddaughter on weekly shopping sprees. When Rea was not spending time with her family, she enjoyed taking day trips to the local casinos, where she would typically make deposits, and then tell her family she was never gambling again…until the next time. She also enjoyed her time alone watching movies on her two favorite channels, Hallmark and Lifetime
She is survived by her loving sons, Carl Taglianetti and his wife Christina and David Taglianetti; cherished grandchildren, Carl Taglianetti Jr. and his wife Kim, Louis McGloine and his wife Kelsey, Alexandra McGloine, Nicholas, Joel, Sean, Ava, Benjamin, Ethan and Anna Taglianetti and dear great-grandchildren, Carl-Lee, Isabella, Louis and Julian. She is also survived by a brother, John Quattrocchi.
Visiting hours will be Monday, June 20th from 9am-10:30am at the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Ann’s Church, 280 Hawkins St., Providence. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
